About Louis Ceruzzi
With more than 25 years of experience, Louis Ceruzzi is a successful real estate professional, business leader, and restaurant owner. His career has spanned multiple real estate sectors, including office buildings, hotels, apartments, and shopping centers.
As founder and President of Ceruzzi Holdings LLC, Louis Ceruzzi has executed more than 500 lease transactions, identifying, developing, and managing commercial spaces for Costco, Whole Foods, JPMorgan Chase, Wal-Mart, The Gap, and a number of other national retailers.
The full-service real estate company has also partnered with prominent firms like the Ritz-Carlton and the Trump Organization to develop high-rise residential buildings in the New York City metropolitan area. This includes ongoing projects, such as high-rise luxury residences at key locations along Lexington Avenue in Manhattan.
Prior to founding his current company, Louis Ceruzzi ran a successful real estate development firm, Ceruzzi Properties LLC, beginning in 1988. The real estate firm targeted opportunities in the commercial sector, specifically within the retail and hospitality markets.
After some time, Ceruzzi Properties entered a joint venture for the development of retail properties with Starwood Capital Group in 1997. The resulting partnership, Starwood Ceruzzi LLC, emerged as one of the largest privately owned retail real estate firms in the region. Starwood Ceruzzi achieved substantial success in the development of retail locations throughout the Northeast, transforming underused properties into “power centers” anchored by nationally prominent brands.
After nearly a decade of industry leadership, Louis Ceruzzi and his partners sold their hotel company to Starwood Hotels, and much of their retail portfolio to Inland Realty, in order to intensify their focus on retail and high-rise residential properties.
In addition to his work in the real estate sector, Mr. Ceruzzi is also a prolific restaurateur. Ceruzzi Holdings LLC oversees several well-known dining establishments in New York City, such as the Italian restaurants Via Quadronno and Sfoglia.
Louis Ceruzzi holds degrees from both Georgetown University and the New York University School of Law.
